A big thank you goes out to all my listeners and supporters. Your comments, calls, emails, and letters have been wonderful to receive. It is a delight to have a chance to talk to you through the internet airwaves.
One thing that I am noticing about myself as I go through this process is that I tend to gravitate toward being more of a listener than a talker and so I am finding it to be a challenge to sustain myself in speaking mode throughout each show. I have a very busy internal dialogue - which sounds great inside my head - and now that I am speaking out loud I am called upon to be very solid and confident in my process. This is slightly scary for me. I have issues around memory and recall - from an early childhood trauma - so details and facts often are not available off the top of my head, especially if I am nervous or anxious. Therefore I need a script to keep me on track. Yet, when I am reading a script I tend to sound mechanical. Doh! A double edged sword. But, here I am, doing a show called "Finding Your Voice", so in the spirit of walking the walk and talking the talk - I am not going to give up - I am going to persevere in finding my own voice and get through this even if I fumble, crumble, creak, and croak. This is an amazing process and I am glad we are here in it together. Life? We can do this thing!
